Tamil film ‘Soppana Sundari’ is a black comedy, which centres on Agalya (Aishwarya Rajesh), a simple middle-class girl who lives with her mother and mute sister. By a stroke of luck, the impoverished family wins a car in a lucky draw. But their joy at the unexpected win is short-lived, when multiple relatives try to claim the car, including the younger son of the family. Chaos ensues as Agalya navigates the ever-changing and unpredictable situation, trying to cope with financial crisis and the unexpected events that follow their stroke of luck.
