Tamil film ‘Viduthalai‘ has been garnering praise and accolades, ever since it released in theatres on 31st March, 2023. The film is written and directed by stellar Tamil film director Vetrimaaran. In keeping with Vetrimaaran’s filmmaking style, the film is as hard-hitting as it can be. ‘Viduthalai’ received acclaim from both critics and audiences, and did excellent business at the Tamil box office. Lead star Soori’s performance, Vetrimaaran’s direction, the action and emotional sequences came in for special praise from all quarters.
Now that the theatrical run of ‘Viduthalai’ is done with, the film is gearing up to release on OTT. We at Binged have got you confirmed information on the ‘Viduthalai’ OTT release date and OTT platform. The film will premiere on OTT on ZEE5, on 28th April, which is this Friday.
Interestingly, ‘Viduthalai’ will premiere on ZEE5 in its extended, uncut, uncensored version, also known as ‘Director’s Cut’ in the film business. ‘Viduthalai’ shines a spotlight on police excesses in great detail, with a few scenes that are quite hard to watch, especially for the faint-hearted. An uncut version of the film will definitely be even more hard-hitting than it already is. Of course, the extended, uncut version will also attract those viewers who’ve already watched the film in the theatres.
‘Viduthalai’ stars Soori in the lead role, with Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sre and Gautham Vasudev Menon playing pivotal roles in the film. ‘Viduthalai’ is adapted from the short story ‘Thunaivan’, written by B. Jeyamohan. It is produced by Elred Kumar, under his film production banner, RS Infotainment.
