Jiiva starrer Tamil language romantic comedy drama ‘Varalaru Mukkiyam’ released in theatres last month and is now set for its digital debut on Netflix. Helmed by Santhosh Rajan, ‘Varalaru Mukkiyam’ will premiere on Netflix very soon, in fact it’s going to be out this week itself.
‘Varalaru Mukkiyam’ centres around fame seeking Karthik who falls in love with his new neighbour. On other hand this neighbour’s sister starts liking him. The film then revolves around all the drama and confusion that happens due to this love triangle.
Santhosh Rajan makes his directorial debut with ‘Varalaru Mukkiyam’ which he has also written. The film stars Jiiva, Kashmira Pardeshi, Pragya Nagra, VTV Ganesh, K. S. Ravikumar and Motta Rajendran among others. Shaan Rahman has composed music for the film and it is produced by R. B. Choudary under his Super Good Films banner.
‘Varalaru Mukkiyam’ storyline does not excite much and appears to be clichéd. Moreover, upon its theatrical release the film received negative reviews and also bombed at the box office. Whether or not it gets a little revival on Netflix, is a matter of wait and watch for now.
‘Varalaru Mukkiyam’ will start streaming only on Netflix from 15th January, 2023.
