Tamil thriller ‘The Akaali’ is now available to watch on OTT. The movie had a theatrical release on the 31st May this year and had its OTT premiere on Aha Tamil today. The movie is directed by Mohamed Asif Hameed and the screenplay was also written by him. This is the debut directorial movie of Hameed.
The movie starred actors like Nasar, Thalaivasal Vijay, Jayakumar Janakiraman, Vinoth Kishan, Swayam Siddha and many others. The movie tells the story of a city where long ago a vicious occult circle was going on and the cult members were responsible for various killings in the city. But the case was eventually closed and after seven years when a newly appointed investigating officer, played by Swayam Siddha, comes to the city she tries to bring back the files and start an investigation again. She is helped by a retired police officer and makes terrible discoveries about the city.
The cinematography of the movie is handled by Giri Murphy and the music is composed by Anish Mohan. The editing was done by Iniyavan Pandiyan. The visuals and the eerie performances add up to a wonderful one time watch. If you are a fan of movies that deal with occult practices, you might like this one. ‘The Akaali’ will be available to watch on Aha Tamil from now on.
