SonyLIV has released the trailer for Applause Entertainment’s much awaited latest web series ‘Tanaav’ and this is one twisted socio-political drama with a lot going on. Helmed by National Award winning director Sudhir Mishra, ‘Tanaav’ is the Indian adaptation of the super hit Israeli series ‘Fauda’ and will premiere on SonyLIV on 11th November, 2022.
‘Tanaav’ trailer begins with a man recording a video about his ideological dreams of Kashmir’s freedom and how martyrdom is a staircase to heaven. But it’s the person behind the camera who makes him think twice about his actions and its consequences for his family.
What follows is the revelation of a terrorist being alive and how he has a deadly mission planned. In order to prevent it, agencies get into action and thus begin their own mission to save lives and stop any attack.
The trailer gives a glimpse of both sides of the story of Kashmir where each is to its own. With family at its core, revenge, freedom, patriotism and such other strong feelings and emotions take centre stage in SonyLIV’s ‘Tanaav’.
Set in the idyllic backdrop of Kashmir in the year 2017, ‘Tanaav’ tells the story of a Special Covert Osps Unit, their bravery and courage. It delves into the human drama behind the ideologies, dealing with complex emotions and flawed characters, all of whom share the same feeling of love, loss, betrayal and revenge.
The fast paced drama consists of 12 enthralling episodes and the cast is an eclectic ensemble consisting of Manav Vij, Sumit Kaul, Rajat Kapoor, Shashank Arora, Arbaaz Khan, Zarina Wahab, Ekta Kaul, Waluscha De Sousa, Danish Hussain, Satyadeep Mishra, Sukhmani Sadana, Sahiba Bali, Amit Gaur, Arslan Goni, Rockey Raina, M. K. Raina, Sheen Das, Aryaman Seth amongst other in prominent roles.
Sudhir Mishra serves as the showrunner and series director for ‘Tanaav’ with Sachin Mamta Krishn as the episode director. The screenplay has been adapted by Ishan Trivedi and Sudhir Mishra. Created by Applause Entertainment, the series is produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal and Siddharth Khaitan.
‘Tanaav’ is all set for its premiere exclusively on SonyLIV on 11th November, 2022.
