Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan’s starring “Tanu Weds Manu” have been widely acclaimed and are successful both commercially, and critically. The first one was released in 2011, starring Kangana Ranaut, R Madhavan, Deepak Dobriyal, Jimmy Sheirgill in the leading roles. This reinstated Kangana’s career, fetching her a national award, brought a huge success to R Madhavan’s after his all-time blockbuster “3 idiots”, and also kickstarted filmmaker Aanand L Rai‘s career as a director.
After 4 years, its sequel was released, making both the installments of this franchise perform exceptionally well at the box-office and was garnered with a lot of love. Part 2, besides starring Kangana, Madhavan, Deepak, and Jimmy, also featured Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in a pivotal role.
After two profitable installments, makers are planning to come up with the third part after 7 years. However, this time, Zeeshan Ayyub might take over R Madhavan. Previously he played the role of Advocate Arun aka Chintu Kumar Singh in Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
In a conversation with BollywoodLife, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub revealed that writer Himanshu Sharma is writing a script for season 3 and is planning to center part 3 around Zeeshan Ayyub and Kangana Ranaut. Henceforth he revealed that Himanshu Sharma has been pondering on this since time but couldn’t come up to an ultimate conclusion.
However, when prodded further about the movie, Ayyub said to BollywoodLife that this time he might ask Himanshu to come up with a final statement and urge the team to proceed forward with their plan of making the third installment centering around his and Kangana’s characters.
