A few days ago, we published an article about courtroom dramas ruling Netflix and Amazon Prime Video (click on the word ‘courtroom’ to check it out). Just a few minutes ago, a renowned Indian producer announced his next film – a thrilling courtroom drama!
Shailesh R Singh, known for acclaimed films like ‘Tanu Weds Manu‘, ‘Thalaivi’, ‘Madaari’, ‘Jabariya Jodi’, and more, announced his new film ‘Setu’. This movie will mark Shailesh’s Karma Media and Entertainment’s 20th project!
Talking about the film, Shailesh shared that initially, he was not entirely interested in being a part of this film. But when director Vishal Chaturvedi narrated his take on the film, Shailesh was immediately intrigued and filled in the position of the producer for ‘Setu’.

It will be an exciting courtroom drama centred on the approval of the Samudram project in 2004 and the interim judgement issued in 2007. It will be the story of a common man Setu who, hurt by the court’s decision, decides to challenge the government.
It is produced by Karma Media and Entertainment in association with Almighty Motion Picture, Polaroid Media, and Wall Craft Media. ‘Setu’ will go on floors by the end of this year and the makers are currently eyeing a Diwali 2023 release.
