Master filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is one director whose fan base is spread across the globe. He has directed 9 films so far but fans always crave more.
After a lot of speculation, news about his 10th film was somehow leaked. The filmmaker celebrated his 60th birthday just a couple of days back and was interacting with the press.
During a press interaction in Paris, Tarantino confirmed his next project. Yes, the rumors were right and he has finished the script of the movie. Also, the film is indeed called The Movie Critic exactly according to the rumor.
However, the film is not based on the true story of Pauline Kael. Those who follow Quentin Tarantino need not be told that his movies have an enormous influence on classic cinema. The filmmaker himself worships the golden age of Hollywood and it may be an ode to the same.
The film according to Tarantino is set around the late 70s. Needless to say, the late 70s are extremely important for Hollywood. Filmmakers like Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, and Dannis Hopper were on the rise. Also, films like Taxi Driver, and Star Wars were being made.
So maybe The Movie Critic is an ode to the same Hollywood renaissance. Unfortunately, these are the only details about the movie but we will keep updating you on the new cast when the film starts shooting in the fall.
