Disney Plus Hotstar has just revealed the first teaser for its new Indian original series ‘Sultan Of Delhi’. Along with the first teaser, they’ve also revealed the release date for the socio-political drama. ‘Sultan Of Delhi’ will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on 13th October. Thankfully, unlike its recent shows, Disney Plus Hotstar will release all episodes of ‘Sultan Of Delhi’ at one go, instead of a staggered or split-season release.
Hotstar’s new series ‘Sultan Of Delhi’ is directed by exciting Bollywood director Milan Luthria, who’s earlier directed films like The Dirty Picture, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, among others. The series will mark Milan Luthria’s OTT debut. The series is co-directed and co-written by Suparn Verma, of The Family Man 2 and Farzi fame, among others. Hotstar’s ‘Sultan of Delhi’ is based on Arnab Ray’s fiction novel ‘Sultan of Delhi: Ascension’
The show stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjum Sharma, Vinay Pathak, Nishant Dahiya, Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi and Mehreen Pirzada in pivotal roles. The story is centred on Arjun Bhatia (Tahir Raj Bhasin), son of a penniless refugee from Lahore, who works his way up from being an arms smuggler in the badlands of Uttar Pradesh to become the most influential power-broker in Delhi. ‘Sultan Of Delhi’ is a tale of greed, betrayal, courage and the ultimate fight for power.
