By far the most prolific Indian content creator, ZEE5 is ready with its next Original, titled Taish. Taish will be the first piece of content that will debut on the platform in a hybrid form – as both a film and a series. How ZEE5 proposes to do that is still a mystery, though we now know what the narrative of Taish is all about. ZEE5 dropped the first official teaser of Taish this afternoon on social media, giving us a clue to the narrative of Taish.
The Taish teaser brims with blood and gore, violence and passion, grit and grimness. It is a story of two friends who are torn apart by the revelation of a dark secret from the past. How the grimness of that revelation will affect the relationship of the two friends makes up the gist of the story.
Jim Sarbh occupies pride of place in the teaser of Taish. Most of the frames in the teaser are filled with his edgy, menacing presence. Pulkit Samrat seems to be a force to reckon with in the movie/series. His beefed up body is a sight to behold. Harshavardhan Rane completes the troika of compelling actors that is a part of Taish, though not much is seen of him in the teaser.
Another distinctive feature of the Taish teaser is the larger than life treatment given to the narrative. Ace director Bejoy Nambiar’s exclusive touch can be seen in the edgy frames, the stunning shots and the forbidding outlook of the teaser, especially the shots featuring Pulkit Samrat. Taish has been described as the ultimate Indian revenge drama and the teaser certainly points to the same.
Kriti Kharbanda looks ravishing in the montages featuring her. Sanjeeda Sheikh wasn’t seen much in the teaser. We’re sure we’ll get to see more of her in the trailer of Taish, whenever it arrives on ZEE5.
Taish has been written and directed by Bejoy Nambiar. It stars Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, Jim Sarbh & Harshvardhan Rane in crucial roles, and is produced by Bejoy Nambiar and Nishant Pitti.
