Telugu film ‘Repeat’ finally has a confirmed OTT release date and OTT platform. The crime thriller will release on Disney Plus Hotstar on December 1. For those who don’t know, ‘Repeat’ is the Telugu version of the Tamil film ‘Deja Vu’. The film was shot simultaneously in both Tamil and Telugu. Tamil actor Arulnithi played the lead in ‘Deja Vu’, while Naveen Chandra is the lead of ‘Repeat’.
Though ‘Deja Vu’ was released in theatres in July, and is already streaming on Prime Video since long, ‘Repeat’ has been languishing in the cans for a long time without a release. The wait is now over, and ‘Repeat’ will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar next week, on December 1. Incidentally, the film was to premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on August 25, but was postponed for undisclosed reasons.
‘Repeat’ stars Telugu actor Naveen Chandra in the lead. Non-Telugu speakers will know the actor from his impressive performances in Disney Plus Hotstar’s Telugu series, ‘Parampara’, Prime Video original film ‘Ammu’ and the recent ‘Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga’. Besides Naveen Chandra, ‘Repeat’ stars Madhoo, Mime Gopi, Achyuth Kumar, Kali Venkat, Smruthi Venkat, among others, in crucial roles.
The film is directed by Arvindh Srinivasan, who also directed ‘Deja Vu’. ‘Repeat’ is produced by P. G. Muthiah and K. Vijay Pandey, producers of ‘Deja Vu’ as well. The film’s music is composed by Ghibran.
A DGP’s daughter is kidnapped in broad daylight, and the police are clueless about the perpetrators. Their only clue is a drunkard writer, who eerily writes the exact same incidents in his novel, but on the day before the actual kidnapping takes place.
