At this juncture, the Telugu film, Wild Dog starring Nagarjuna is reworking its release strategy. The movie was supposed to release directly on Netflix. But they are at the negotiation table with Netflix and are now releasing the movie in theaters. However, the movie is likely to release on Netflix just two weeks after its theatrical release like how it happened with Vijay’s Master.
The movie may release in theaters on April 2nd which means it will release on Netflix around April 16th. Master OTT strategy came as a surprise for the audience so the theatrical run was not impacted by the early OTT release. Let us see what happens with Wild Dog!
The movie directed by a newcomer, Solomon will see Nagarjuna as an encounter specialist, ACP Vijay Varma in film. The movie is based on some real-event and is about an encounter that happened on the outskirts of Hyderabad. For a major action sequence of the film, the team even shot at Rohtang Pass which is at 13,000 feet above sea level under sub-zero temperature.
