Amazon Prime Video has always been aggressive when it comes to big-ticket acquisitions in Telugu cinema. The OTT giant has been bagging the exclusive direct to digital and as well as post theatrical digital streaming rights of Telugu biggies. Amazon Prime has now added another exciting title to the list of their 2022 line-up.
Amazon Prime has reportedly bagged the post theatrical digital streaming rights of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya by shelling out big bucks. It is heard that a deal has been struck and an official announcement will be out following the theatrical release of the film. It is known that Acharya will be out in theatres from the 4th of November.
As it appears, Acharya is Amazon Prime‘s second ‘Mega’ acquisition of 2022 with the first one being Bheemla Nayak, an action drama featuring another mega hero Pawan Kalyan in the titular role. Neither of these developments has been made official now though. But from what we can hear, Amazon Prime has bagged both these biggies.
Interestingly enough, both Bheemla Nayak and Acharya are multi-starrers. While Bheemla Nayak is a high-octane action drama featuring Pawan Kalyan and Rana in the lead roles, Acharya is an action-oriented social drama with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in the lead roles. These are two of the most anticipated Telugu films of 2022 and they are riding high on buzz already. Amazon Prime acted quickly and seems to have closed the deals for both these biggies much ahead of their theatrical release.
