There’s good news in the offing for fans of the Disney Plus Hotstar series, ‘Parampara‘. The Telugu series has been renewed for Season 2, much to the delight of Disney+ Hotstar’s Telugu subscribers. Parampara Season 2 has tentatively been titled ‘Parampara Again’. The platform has promised that Parampara Season 2 will stream soon on Disney Plus Hotstar.
Disney Plus Hotstar’s first ever Telugu web series ‘Parampara’ proved to be a successful endeavour at the streamer. Telugu audiences, and even non-Telugu speakers lapped up the crime, politics and family drama. The series marked the OTT debut of well-known Telugu actors, R. Sarath Kumar and Jagapathi Babu.
Parampara is a crime drama with family, power and politics being the driving factors of the narrative. Jagapathy Babu and R. Sarath Kumar star as brothers Mohan Rao and Naidu. Naidu is wily, ruthless and selfish, and uses his brother for political gains. The real drama begins when their sons step into the world of power politics. Naveen Chandra plays Gopi, Mohan Rap’s son, who is out to revenge the wrongs done to his father by his uncle. Ishan plays Naidu’s son, Suresh.
Parampara and Parampara Season 2 are produced by Shobu Yarlagadda under his banner, Arka Media Works. Film buffs will know Shobu as the producer of the two monstrous hits – the ‘Baahubali’ films. Parampara is written and directed by Hari Yelleti. It stars Jagapathi Babu, Sarath Kumar, Naveen Chandra, Kasthuri Shankar, Ishaan, Aakanksha Singh and Naina Ganguly in pivotal roles.
