Akhil Akkineni’s 2023 action thriller ‘Agent’ will soon be available to watch on OTT. It is going to make its OTT premiere on the 29th of September. It will be released on SonyLIV.
‘Agent’ had its theatrical release on the 27th of April this year and received mixed to negative reviews from critics. It was a box office failure as well and did not do a very good business. Critics complained that the movie failed to utilize talented actors like Mammootty. Akhil Akkineni plays the lead role and Mammootty, Dino Morea, Sakshi Vaidya, Vikramjeet Virk are in other important roles. Agent ks directed by Surender Reddy and has a story by Vakkantham Vamsi.
Despite having negative reviews from critics, a part of the audience praised the movie for its unpredictable twists and wonderful visuals. The movie tells the story of Ramakrishna a.k.a Ricky who wants to be a R.A.W officer ever since childhood and lives in espionage fantasies. He is rejected thrice from the agency and finally as a last resort, he hacks the system of Mahadev, the R.A.W chief. Mahadev gives him a chance to prove himself and sends him on a dangerous mission.
With high scale action sequences, the movie can impress you if you are an ardent fan of Akkineni, Mammootty or Telugu cinema. Otherwise, it can serve well as a one-time-watch for action movie fans. ‘Agent’ will be available to watch on SonyLIV from 29th September onwards.
