2021 was a painful year for fans of digital content. The year saw several popular shows bid goodbye to viewers. The most prominent among shows that streamed final seasons in 2021 were definitely Money Heist, Lucifer, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Shameless, Kim’s Convenience, among others.
2022 will continue in the same vein. Several top shows will bid adieu to their fans. While there are at least 2 dozen shows that will end in 2022, we bring you ten of the most popular shows that will premiere their final seasons this year.

1. Ozark – Netflix
A compelling crime drama, Ozark has entertained Netflix viewers for three seasons straight. Along the way, it has won several awards and legions of fans. But like all good things must come to an end, Ozark too will end in 2022 with its fourth and final season. Just like it did with Money Heist last year, Netflix will release Ozark in two parts. Ozark Season 4 Part 1 releases on Netflix on January 21. The release date for Ozark Season 4 Part 2 is still to be announced.
2. Better Call Saul – Netflix
The ‘Breaking Bad’ prequel series ‘Better Call Saul’ will end in 2022 with its sixth and final season. Bob Odenkirk will be seen one last time as lovable lawyer, Saul Goodman. Better Call Saul Season 6 will also release in two parts. No release date is out as yet.
3. Peaky Blinders – BBC, Netflix
A truly iconic show, gangster drama Peaky Blinders tells the story of the notorious Shelby gang of the early twentieth century. The finale Season 6 of the beloved show is slated to release in the first quarter of 2022, after which it will bid adieu to its massive number of fans.
4. After Life – Netflix
Ricky Gervais’ heart-touching Netflix dramedy is a unique take on coping with the death of loved ones. The show comes to an end with its third and final season, which premieres on Netflix on January 14.
5. Killing Eve – BBC America
Killing Eve is one of the best spy dramas on streaming. The gripping show will finally bid adieu to viewers with its fourth and final season this February. Interestingly, Indian director Anu Menon has director several episodes of Killing Eve Season 4.
6. Dead To Me – Netflix
The deliciously dark comedy Dead To Me has suffered a setback of sorts in production, what with Covid-19, and its star Christina Applegate’s recent multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Yet, its third and final season will definitely make an appearance on Netflix this year. No release date for Dead To Me Season 3 is out yet.
7. The Expanse – Prime Video
Prime Video’s thrilling sci-fi show ‘The Expanse’ is all set to come to an end this year, after 6 enthralling seasons. The futuristic space drama has kept viewers entertained with its unique premise, with all the action taking place in space, hundreds of years in the future. The Expanse Season 6 comes to an end on January 14, 2022.
8. The Last Kingdom – Netflix
Netflix’s historical drama, ‘The Last Kingdom’ has accumulated numerous fans in its run of four seasons. The series is adapted from Bernard Cornwell’s ‘Saxon Stories’. The fifth and final season of the show will arrive sometime in 2022, but there’s no release date yet.
9. This Is Us – Disney Plus Hotstar, Prime Video
The emotional family drama showcases sibling and family love like no other show in recent times. The sixth and final season of the show premieres on 4th January in the US and ends later in the year. There’s no date of streaming for the show on Indian OTT yet.
10. The Walking Dead – Netflix
The AMC show streams on Netflix in India. After ten compelling seasons, the eleventh and final season of the zombie apocalypse show arrives on AMC on February 20. No release date announced on Netflix yet.
