And now, ‘The Batman’ has already achieved the feat of making its way to the coveted IMDb top 250 movies list. The film currently boasts of an impressive IMDb user rating of 8.8/10 based on around 36000 votes. On the IMDb top 250 movies list, ‘The Batman’ is placed on the 94th rank.
So, ‘The Batman’ has outranked Christopher Nolan’s first Batman movie ‘Batman Begins’, which is placed on rank 125. Moreover, as of now, ‘The Batman’ is the only film from 2022 to find a place on the IMDb top 250 list.
Not just that, ‘The Batman’ concurrently holds an impressive 85% Tomatometer score on popular reviews aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes based on 271 reviews. The audience score on Rotten Tomatoes is much higher though. Based on more than 1000 verified ratings, ‘The Batman’ has secured a whopping 93% audience rating on the portal.
Today is just the first day of the film’s global theatrical release. So, it remains to be seen whether ‘The Batman’ can outrank the remaining Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies namely ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, which are on the 3rd and 68th ranks, respectively. Considering the film’s positive buzz and widespread acclaim across the globe, it’s going to be an interesting contest, especially with the latter.
