‘The Boys Season-3’ Easter Eggs/Details You Might Have Missed

By Binged Bureau - Jun 23, 2022 @ 10:06 am
‘The Boys Season-3’ Easter Eggs/Details You Might Have Missed

The highly anticipated third season of Amazon Prime Video’s superhero series ‘The Boys’ finally premiered on the OTT platform on 3rd June and until now, five episodes have been aired so far. ‘The Boys Season-3’ is replete with several interesting Easter Eggs and details which you might have missed while watching the goings-on.

So, we have compiled a list of five such interesting hidden details which have been revealed. For those who haven’t watched the show or don’t want spoilers, then we suggest you do not read further. Others can continue reading.

Supernatural Easter Egg

One of the exciting highlights of ‘The Boys’ Season-3 is the presence of ‘Supernatural’ star Jensen Ackles as Vought’s powerful superhero Soldier Boy. There was a scene in the ongoing show which showed an old clip of Soldier Boy being the subject of nasty experiments in Russia. The date on the recorded video is 24th January, which is incidentally, the birthday of Jensen Ackles’ character Dean Winchester in the Supernatural series.

Soldier Boy might be the only Supe who can kill Homelander

When Jensen Ackles’ character is introduced in present-day, he uses a new power on the superpowered member of The Boys – Kimiko. The incident deprives Kimiko of her healing powers for the first time. Which implies that if Soldier Boy uses the same power on Homelander, then he might be the only weapon who can kill the most powerful and megalomaniac superhero Homelander. But will he?

Queen Maeve might die fighting Homelander in The Boys S3

The distressed superhero, and Homelander hater Queen Maeve, is leaving no stone unturned and has teamed up with Billy Butcher to end Homelander’s sadistic reign. In case you have read the comic books, then Maeve, who became an informant to The Boys, was killed by Homelander after her sword broke while fighting him. In the current season, she is desperately training hard to kill Homelander. But in a scene where Kimiko is fighting Russians, a toy based on Maeve’s character breaks easily, thereby hinting again that The Boys Season-3 might be the last one for Maeve.

G-Men spin-off series Easter Egg

Fans might already be aware that a superhero college-based spin-off series is currently in the works with Jaz Sinclair as one of the main cast members. The story revolves around America’s only college for young adult superheroes which is run by the evil Vought Corporation and is said to have some elements of the ‘Hunger Games’ series. Jaz Sinclair’s character Marie was hinted at in The Boys S3 second episode when Hughie visited the Red River Institute on the pretext of adopting a super child.

Madelyn Stillwell’s son Teddy makes a surprise appearance

Homelander’s former love interest and Vought’s VP Madelyn Stillwell died a brutal death by Homelander himself during The Boys Season-1 finale. Her son Teddy, who was also inside the house during the bomb explosion by Billy Butcher, was assumed dead. However, in The Boys S2, it was revealed that Teddy was alive. And in the second episode of The Boys S3, Teddy made a surprise appearance at the Red River Institute. He was met by Hughie and was shown to possess teleportation superpowers, which apparently saved him from the bomb explosion.

Return of Ant-Man’s parody – Termite

Ant-Man’s parody supe Termite appeared in The Boys Season-3 in a much talked-about scene where he shrinks in size and accidentally explodes inside a man, thereby murdering him unintentionally. Interestingly, Termite had first made a brief appearance in The Boys Season-1 initial episode during the super sex-club scene which was visited by Butcher and Hughie.
