Fans were already aware the filming for the upcoming season had wrapped up in September 2021.
The Boys is a show developed by Eric Kripke for Amazon Prime Video. It is based on the comic book of the same name which was originally published by DC Comics. The show is about a group of vigilantes who target corrupt superheroes who abuse their superpowers. The series premiered in 2019 with the third season renewed in July 2020. The show has an ensemble cast that includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, and Karen Fukuhara as the vigilantes, and Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher, and Nathan Mitchell as ‘Supes’ who are members of the group called “Seven”
It has already been announced that the upcoming season will be available to stream June 03, 2022 when three episodes are expected to drop. Post that, a new episode will be released every Friday.
There are two spin-off shows in the making as well. The first of that, animated anthology series The Boys Presents: Diabolical, is premiering on March 4th. Unlike the main show, all episodes of the spin-off are scheduled to be dropped at the same time. It features eight 12-14 minutes episodes with Awkwafina, Michael Cera, Don Cheadle, Kieran Culkin, and Giancarlo Esposito amongst the huge stars part of the show. The other college-set spin-off is still in the works with no title or release date announced yet.
Now, with the first look expected in a few weeks, fans of The Boys are ‘buzzed’ as well.
The Boys Season 1 and 2 are available exclusively on Prime Video.
