The Broken News on Zee5 is just a day away. Binged has reported multiple times that it is a highly promising series which could change the way people see Zee5.
There isn’t any series on Zee5 so far which could spark a national buzz. But finally, Zee5 came up with something which needs to be told.
Unfortunately, things are not looking as bright for The Broken News. Zee5 started a hardcore social media campaign for their series yesterday. Unfortunately, this should have been started a long ago.
Because given the condition, it’s ridiculous to imagine pulling a crowd with just a two days campaign.
But talking about the campaign have a look at Sonali Bendre‘s clip.

She is talking about her character and she keeps on talking even after the timer.
Firstly, it’s a blunder to NOT let your stars talk about their character by restricting them in a timer.
Secondly, they forgot the basic formula of “Show Not Tell”. Instead of a promotional video, they could have released a glimpse of the series which shows her character and her thought process.
They have done that too and have a look at that.

The second video is leaps and bounds better than the first one and a dedicated campaign with more glimpses would work much better. If you remember Prime Video’s campaign for Mirzapur 2 then you would realise how it helped dramatically for Prime Video to build hype.
Unfortunately, Zee5 didn’t post any promotional video featuring Jaideep Ahlawat which is again a mistake.
Now, the series is completed and they can’t alter the content but at least there’s a chance for the show to perform a little better than it usually does.
Media and the corruption inside it is one of the most heated topics in the country. No doubt that TV Media revolves around TRP and they hardly care about honest journalism.
If The Broken News manages to gain people’s attention with its content then it might prove to be a game-changer.
