We all know Chris Evans as the man who immortalised Captain Steve Rogers on the big screen for us. However, do you know that he directed a feature in 2014? Well, that’s what we are here for. We are introducing you folks to the star’s directorial debut that definitely deserves your attention titled ‘Before We Go’.
The movie revolves mainly around the events of a night and around the two main protagonists. The synopsis reads: “Nick, a street musician, meets Brooke in the subway when she misses her last train home. As he tries to take her to her destination, the two confide in each other and confront their long-held fears.” While Evans plays Nick with elaine and charm, Alice Eve of the Iron Fist series plays Brooke. With praise-worthy performances, the film will be appreciated by lovers of romantic films.
The film is a soul-touching one. It takes no time to get Nick and Brooks onto each other’s paths and it is their journey that night takes its sweet time to unravel. At the heart of it all, the film is a human drama. It’s a realistic take on romance and life in general. It’s on the same lines as the ‘the right person at the wrong time’ troupe, yet the writing, performances and direction make the film stand out.
The film is currently available for streaming on Lionsgate Play available in India as one of Prime Video’s channels. Stay tuned to Binged.com for more such recommendations.
