The 2022 American action thriller ‘The Contractor‘ is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. It is directed by Tarik Saleh and was his English language film debut. The film stars Chris Pine in the lead role and Ben Foster, Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Marsan, J.D Pardo.
Swedish director Tarik Saleh has previously created films like ‘Boy From Heaven’, ‘Metropia’, ‘The Nile Hilton Incident’, ‘Westworld’. His directorial brings some trust to watch this movie even after the mixed reviews it got.
‘The Contractor’ follows the story of an involuntarily discharged U.S Special Forces officer who suddenly has to risk everything to save his family when he decides to join a private contracting organization. The character of the officer, James Harper, is played by Chris Pine. Chris Pine was last seen in ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ and ‘Don’t Worry Darling’. He will be next seen in the upcoming Star Wars 4 movie in 2023.
The movie got mixed reviews and did not do too well in the theatres when it released on the 1st April in 2022. You can definitely watch it if you are looking for a good movie to watch in your pastime. It is available now on Amazon Prime Video and can be viewed if you are a big fan of action thrillers. The movie does not have very much sexuality but is filled with profanity. But it can be good for a family watch if there is no problem with profanity.
