The official trailer for ‘The Creator’ is now out. It is a high production value science fiction drama written by Gareth Edwards, Chris Weitz and directed by Gareth Edwards. The film stars actors like John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, Madeleine Yuna Voyles, Allison Janney and more.
As we can get to know from the trailer, ‘The Creator’ tells the story of a dystopian world. In a highly advanced earth in the future, a strong artificial intelligence has been developed to protect the citizens. The programme goes rogue and deploys a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles. A sudden war between the robots and the human beings breaks out. There have been many films on this subject but ‘The Creator’ offers a fresh perspective. When the generals get to know that the robots are building a very dangerous weapon, they try to take the weapon from them and find out it is just a robot kid. But the kid is slowly growing and showing extraordinary powers. Whoever has the kid on their side will win the war. When asked what she wants, the kid replies that she wants robots to be free.
The visuals are great and the CGI is perfect. It looks like there will finally be some big scale Hollywood actioner that we expect from Hollywood. The wonderful cinematography is handled by Greig Fraser and Oren Soffer. The movie will have its theatrical release on the 29th of September. If you are a fan of sci-fi movies, you should not miss this one.
