The theatres are up and running in India, finally after a long, long time. Even though the Hindi movies are still gearing up for release, Hollywood movies are set for theatrical releases. Many have already been released and made a significant impact at the Box Office. While India was under lockdown, Hollywood released some supremely interesting movies that were awaited by many around the world. Now, finally, it’s time for Indians to enjoy Hollywood releases in theatres. Out of the many, one that is close to its release date is the hit “The Croods: A New Age”, an animated movie sequel to the 2013 hit “The Croods”.
The sequel finally arrived after 7 years of the release of the first movie. One has to say that true fans of “The Croods” definitely had to wait a lot for this one. As for the Indian release, “The Croods: A New Age” is all set for theatrical release on the 10th of September, the Ganesh Chaturthi weekend. Even though the halls will be loaded with various other movies, “The Croods: A New Age” will be a treat and breath of fresh air for those who love animations, fans of the franchise, and most definitely kids, who probably haven’t watched a good movie on the big screen for ages.
As for the cast, the original cast of “The Croods” returns to the screens to make you laugh once again. “The Croods: A New Age”, definitely is a culmination of all A-Listers of Hollywood. With voices from Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Nicolas Cage, Catherine Keener, “The Croods: A New Age” will be an absolute thrill. The movie also introduces Game of Thrones star, Peter Dinklage, along with Star Wars legend, Kelly Marie Tran, for the second part of this brilliant comedy animation.
As far as the story of “The Croods: A New Age” goes, the leads move into an unknown land, in search of “tomorrow.” Along with their friend Guy, the family finally settles down on a piece of land only to learn that it is owned by the Betterman’s, and with it begins the rivalry of the Croods and the Betterman’s. While the Croods try to make a simple living, they are instigated on and on by the Betterman couple, who are living a luxe life in the land. What happens now? Will the Croods and the Betterman ever get along? Will the Croods succeed in making their lives worthwhile in this new “tomorrow”? Well, all of this will finally be answered in the movie now.
“The Croods: A New Age” definitely has taken a long time to arrive on screens. 7 years is a lot for a sequel to come along and as soon as it arrived, it definitely brought along memories. Now, it’s all up to the Indian audience to see whether they love the second edition, “The Croods: A New Age” or not. The movie will release both in Hindi and English on 10th of September, in theatres.
