The fourth season of Netflix’s much acclaimed series “The Crown” is set to return to Netflix on the 15th of November and this time it’s going to be bigger than ever. This season of The Crown will also have Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth, while Claire Foy will make a cameo in the flashback scene. The cast will pretty much remain the same, except there will be the introduction of two of the biggest characters of history, Margaret Thatcher and Lady Diana Spencer
This season will cover the crucial period from the 1977 to the 90s that saw a lot of historical changes in this period, but most importantly it will revolve around the lives of three women that not only changed the history of the United Kingdom but also the world. In the times, when great problems befell Britain, people looked upto these three significant women that they thought would change lives. Did they? Well, this season will make you get a peek at history.
It is shown how the men in higher positions weren’t happy when they realised the two highest powers held by were women in the country and another one making great news and leading the country into the future is a remarkable woman, Diana Spencer. The season follows some of the most crucial events during the reign of these women. The season covers the wedding of Lady Diana and Prince Charles, introduction of Prince William and Harry. The Falklands War, their tour of New Zealand and Australia, Michael Fagan’s intrusion in the Buckingham Palace, Lord Mountbatten’s Funeral along with the twists and turns of the royal family.
The season is supposed to end with Queen Elizabeth’s entry into the 21st century and the events that led up to it. It will be interesting to see the clash of these women and how they managed to change the nation and the world one at a time.
This season, it will be all about the women.
