One of the most anticipated films that has to release this Friday was The Crow directed by Rupert Sanders. The movie will be distributed by Lionsgate and has a budget of $50 million. The movie initially was to be released in June 2024. Due to several complications, the release was postponed and the new date for release was 23rd August. But now it seems, the movie will be delayed yet again, and the new release date is set at the end of August.
The Crow stars Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs as the lead actors and is said to be a dark love story. Bill and Twigs play the roles of Eric and Shelly respectively who are lovers and are brutally murdered. The killers are Shelly’s nemesis from her dark past and now Eric has one chance to save his love by sacrificing himself. He is given the powers of a god to set things right and save his love. What continues is his quest to take revenge from their killers and save his lover.
The movie had already been delayed once and now delaying it yet again may increase frustration in the minds of the audience. This will significantly affect the number of people who will watch the movie. Hence affecting the collection. People were looking forward to 23rd August for the release of the movie, and the announcement of the postponement may be really frustrating for them. The makers of the film need some really great marketing tactics to again gain the trust of the people for the movie.
The movie is filled with action, intense scenes, blood and gore; which always seems presentable for theatres. Hence, it could have expected quite a decent amount of sales to earn some profit. But how the situation has turned from the postponing of the release, may have altered the possible income the movie would have gathered. In this situation, it becomes quite tough to say if the movie will be able to turn some good profit.
