‘The Family Man S2’: 7 Bollywood Appreciation Tweets That Mean a Lot

The Family Man’ Season 2 has not only lived up to its incredible hype but has even surpassed its sky-high expectations. The internet, including Twitter, is replete with sincere praises from all quarters. And that includes user opinions, critics’ reviews, and appreciation tweets from eminent celebrities too. We have shortlisted for you seven appreciation tweets from Bollywood celebrities whose opinions mean a lot not only for the audiences but also for the makers and actors of the show.

1. Hansal Mehta

When the man who helmed the highest-rated IMDb show ‘Scam 1992’ says something, his words must be taken seriously. A day after the release of ‘The Family Man S2’, the filmmaker congratulated Raj & DK, Suman Kumar, and Manoj Bajpayee.

But a special remark was dedicated to the show’s co-director and co-writer Suparn Varma. Not many people might be aware that Suparn Varma has previously worked as a writer in Hansal Mehta’s directorial projects including ‘Chhal’ and ‘Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai’.

A few days later, after watching five episodes, Hansal Mehta praised the show and its terrific casting. Manoj Bajpayee and Raj & DK were quick to thank him back. Hansal Mehta has directed Manoj Bajpayee in films like ‘Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar’ and ‘Aligarh’. The filmmaker’s next likely project is ‘Scam 2003’ that is reportedly based on the case of Abdul Kareem Telgi.

2. Anubhav Sinha

‘Thappad’ and ‘Article 15’ director’s Twitter post was amongst the funniest on Twitter. He praised the show’s lead actor and creators in classic Bhojpuri dialect, which Raj & DK could not understand despite apparently using google translate. Manoj Bajpayee informed Raj & DK that the post is actually written in the Bhojpuri language. The conversation was quite amusing indeed.

3. Ram Gopal Varma

A couple of days back, virtuoso filmmaker RGV likened Raj & DK’s espionage thriller show as a realistic version of the debonair spy ‘James Bond’ franchise. He further applauded Manoj Bajpayee’s acting prowess for pulling off a blend of multiple genres like family drama, action, and entertainment. The Tweet might have meant a lot to Manoj Bajpayee as RGV was the one who gave the actor a path-breaking film like ‘Satya’.

4. Pankaj Tripathi

Another heartfelt congratulatory Tweet came from the acclaimed performer Pankaj Tripathi. His short and sweet message in pure Hindi language was counter thanked by Manoj Bajpayee in a mix of pure Hindi and Bhojpuri languages. Pankaj Tripathi’s veneration for Manoj Bajpayee’s acting prowess is known to all as he once got emotional while expressing his admiration for the ‘Shool’ actor in an episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Both these powerhouse performers were also part of Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’.

5. Abhishek Kapoor

Actor turned acclaimed director Abhishek Kapoor’s Tweet is the most recent one on this list. He found the show to be well made in every department and congratulated the entire team of ‘The Family Man S2’. Abhishek Kapoor has directed some fine films such as ‘Rock On’, ‘Kai Po Che’, and ‘Kedarnath’. So, he utterly understands the significance and the effort that goes into making a riveting show like ‘The Family Man’.

6. Vineet Kumar Singh

The punchy ‘Mukkabaaz’ actor termed the show brilliant. He complimented the performances of Manoj Bajpayee, Samantha Akkineni, Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani, and the kids. He spoke highly of the work of Raj & DK, Suparn Varma, and Suman Kumar. Incidentally, Vineet Kumar Singh had essayed the role of Manoj Bajpayee’s character Sardar Khan’s son in the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ films.

7. Pritish Nandy

The eminent multi-talented personality has also produced some fine Indian films such as ‘Kaante’, ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’, ‘Chameli’, ‘Pyar Ke Side Effects’, and many more. A few days back, he too raved about the show by calling Manoj Bajpayee’s performance in ‘The Family Man S2’ terrific and heaped praises on Raj & DK as well.
