Close on the heels of preponimg the release date of its soon-to-release web show State Of Siege 26/11, ZEE5 also dropped its first teaser this morning. And from the looks of the teaser, one can safely say that the series promises to be a gripping watch.
State Of Siege 26/11 is a web series, based on Sandeep Unnithan’s gripping novel based on the Mumbai terrorist attacks of 26th November, 2008, and the brave fightback against the 10 terrorists, launched by the elite NSG commandos of India. The book is called Black Tornado: The Three Sieges of Mumbai 26/11.
The web series, like the book, captures the nitty-gritties of the elite operation and the courage and bravery of our officers of the NSG.
The teaser shows Arjan Bajwa as the commander of the force, and how he motivates his team with inspiring and uplifting words. The terrorists are shown in such a realistic way that the teaser shocks you out of the holiday mood.
Many movies and shows have covered the terrorist attacks in stark detail. But this show focuses on the counter-attack of the NSG commandos, the planning that went into the operation, and its actual execution. The teaser gives ample clue to this aspect of the narrative. The goings-on in the teaser are punctuated by the steady beats of haunting music, which add an element of suspense to the one-minute teaser.
Produced by Abhimanyu Singh of Contiloe Pictures and directed by Matthew Leutwyler, the series stars Arjan Bajwa, Arjun Bijlani, Mukul Dev, Vivek Dahiya, Sid Makkar and Tara Alisha Berry in crucial roles.
State of Seige 26/11 is slated to drop on ZEE5 on 24th January 2020.
