Fishy is a very interesting word. It doesn’t have any relation to fish, but the presence of this word stinks of suspicion. Prabhas’s films have the same relationship with box office numbers.
It is no wonder that almost all films show some differences between the producer figure and the trade figures. Even for films like Jawan, there was a small difference of 8-10 crores between the producers and the trade analysers. Of course, producers quote the inflated figure.
Regardless, the condition of Prabhas films is sort of crazy.
Within only 4 days of getting released, Kalki 2898 AD is showing a difference of 70 crores.
For Salaar it was 120 freaking crores.
For Adipurush, the difference was around 110 crores and we shall not talk about Radhe Shyam.
So what’s wrong with his films?
Such kinds of issues have persisted in the South Indian film industries for a long time now. Sadly, even Bollywood has started having this problem.
We understand that saving the star’s image is important in fiascos like Radhe Shyam and Adipurush. But, Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD are already good at the box office and they did not really need any sort of manipulation.
Still, somehow, box office numbers are never as fishy as they are in Prabhas films.
