Superhero movie ‘The Flash‘ released in theatres back in June. The movie proved to be a dud at the box office, barely recovering its cost of making. Even though audiences and critics appreciated the plot of the movie, The Flash failed to set cash registers ringing at ticket windows across the world.
Now that the theatrical run of The Flash is done and dusted, it’s time for the film to release on streaming. The Flash is already available to watch on pay-per-view platforms such as Google Movies and Prime Video Rental Store, but at a steep rent of ₹499.
We at Binged have got you confirmed information on the OTT release of The Flash in India. The Ezra Miller starrer premieres on Max (formerly HBO Max) this Friday, that is on 25th August, 2023. Since Max titles premiere on Jio Cinema in India, The Flash will also premiere on Jio Cinema on subscription-based video-on-demand.
As for the release date of The Flash on Jio Cinema, we reckon that the film will premiere on Jio Cinema alongside its US premiere on Max. If not on 25th August itself, The Flash should premiere latest by 28th August on Jio Cinema in India.
The Flash is directed by Andy Muschietti. The cast of the movie includes Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, aka The Flash. Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue and Michael Keaton make up the rest of the cast.
The official synopsis of The Flash reads, “Worlds collide when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no superheroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for.”
