Do you guys remember Batman & Robin? The 1997 Joel Schumacher directional is nothing short of a visual torture. Still, Batman fans talk about it. George Clooney has openly shared his disappointment with the film on many occasions. On the other hand, many DC fans treat it like a guilty pleasure. We thought we would never see Clooney returning as The Dark Knight after Batman & Robin. However, a new rumour regarding the post-credit scenes of The Flash has given DC fans something to think about this scenario.
The rumour comes from CanWeGetSomeToast, a Twitter account with a proven track record of sharing accurate details about superhero projects. According to the rumour, George Clooney will return as Batman in one of the post-credits scenes of The Flash. Apart from this scene, the upcoming DC feature has another post-credits scene featuring Barry and Aquaman.
Twitteratis have given a mixed response towards this rumour. Some believe that adding George Clooney to the DC universe again may improve his Batman arc in future DC instalments. On the other hand, the remaining ones think that including the Academy Award-winning actor in the film does not make any sense. If the rumours are true, it will be interesting to see how Warner Bros handles Clooney’s Batman in future DCU instalments.
Makers of The Flash and Warner Bros have gone to extreme lengths to protect the film’s plot and surprise elements. Producer Barbara Muschietti has confirmed that the movie’s theatrical cut has some surprising moments. “We can’t tease anything because they’re all great surprises, and we know that they won’t disappoint,” Muschietti said. Early critical reception towards the film is mostly positive. It currently stands with a rating of 73% (based on 78 reviews) on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Flash will release theatrically on June 16. Stay tuned for more updates.
