Netflix has done it again! The streaming giant has announced a massive list of films that will debut on the platform all through summer. The films, 35 in all, straddle all genres – from action (The Takedown, Interceptor, Day Shift, The Man from Toronto) to romance (Love & Gelato, Persuasion, Love in the Villa, Purple Hearts, Wedding Season) to fantasy (The Sea Beast) to spy thrillers (Carter, The Gray Man), Netflix brings films to suit every appetite.
Here’s the entire list of films that will premiere on Netflix worldwide in the next four months! Here goes –
ALONG FOR THE RIDE (MAY 6)
It’s the summer before college when Auden (Emma Pasarow) crosses paths with fellow insomniac Eli (Belmont Cameli). They decide to meet nightly to embark on a quest to help Auden experience the fun and carefree teen life that she never got to have.
THE TAKEDOWN (MAY 6)
Omar Sy and Laurent Lafitte play two mismatched cops who are forced to team up after a decade apart to investigate the tangled webs of a murder in a divided French town
THAR (MAY 6)
Starring Anil Kapoor, Harshvardhan Kapoor and Fatima Sana Shaikh, this thriller follows a veteran cop who has to prove himself amid a grisly murder case in his sleepy desert town.
OPERATION MINCEMEAT (MAY 11)
Hoping to turn the tide for the Allies and save tens of thousands of lives, two intelligence officers (Colin Firth and Matthew Macfadyen) plot to break Hitler’s deadly grip on Europe by recruiting the most unlikely of secret agents: a dead man. A true and extraordinary story.
SENIOR YEAR (MAY 13)
After a cheerleader falls off a pyramid and into a 20-year coma, she wakes up as a 37-year-old woman, ready to return to high school, regain her status and claim the prom queen crown that eluded her.
PERFECT PAIRING (MAY 19)
Victoria Justice and Adam Demos star in this rom-com about a wine exec who finds herself working on an Australian sheep farm and sparking with the rugged local who trains her.
THE PHOTOGRAPHER: MURDER IN PINAMAR (MAY 19)
This documentary offers a close-up look at the murder of photojournalist José Luis Cabezas — a crime that left Argentina shaken, with conspiracies exposed to the public.
INTERCEPTOR (JUNE 3)
One Army captain must use her years of tactical training and military expertise when a simultaneous coordinated attack threatens the remote missile interceptor station she is in command of.
HUSTLE (JUNE 8)
Adam Sandler stars as a down-on-his-luck basketball scout who discovers a talented street player (Juancho Hernangómez) while abroad. He brings the athlete back to the States without his team’s approval, and the team has one chance to prove they can make it in the NBA.
HALFTIME (JUNE 14)
This documentary offers an intimate peek behind the curtain into the life of global superstar Jennifer Lopez. From her acting performances on the big screen to her iconic worldwide concerts, Halftime takes fans behind the scenes of Lopez’s career, while setting the stage for the chapters that lie ahead.
THE WRATH OF GOD (JUNE 15)
At the center of this film is Luciana, who finds herself involved in a loop of strange family deaths. As the mystery unravels, she’s not sure who to trust — including her boss, who happens to be an enigmatic writer.
SPIDERHEAD (JUNE 17)
Based on The New Yorker short story “Escape from Spiderhead” by George Saunders, this film follows two inmates (Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett) who form a connection while reflecting on their pasts in a state-of-the-art penitentiary — that happens to be run by a visionary (Chris Hemsworth) who uses mind-altering drugs to experiment on his subjects.
CIVIL (JUNE 19)
From award-winning filmmaker Nadia Hallgren, Civil offers an in-depth look at the life of civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who has sought justice for clients including the families of George Floyd, Andre Hill and Breonna Taylor.
LOVE & GELATO (JUNE 22)
Lina is about to graduate high school and has her sights set on her future at MIT. But when her mom gets sick, she encourages Lina to follow in her footsteps and have “the summer of a lifetime” in Rome. Using her mom’s old diary as a guide, she explores the romantic and magical city, where she just might find love… and gelato, of course.
HELLO, GOODBYE, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN (JULY 6)
After making a pact to break up before college, Clare (Talia Ryder) and Aidan (Jordan Fisher) retrace the steps of their relationship on one last epic date, as they question: Will they fall in love all over again? Will they stay together or say goodbye forever?
THE SEA BEAST (JULY 8)

DANGEROUS LIAISONS (JULY 8)

PERSUASION (JULY 15)

THE GRAY MAN (JULY 22)

RISE OF THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: THE MOVIE (AUG 5)
In this Nickelodeon film, the iconic Ninja Turtles meet a mysterious stranger from the future who brings an ominous warning. Leo, Ralph, Donnie and Mikey must work together to save the world from the menacing alien species known as the Krang.
13: THE MUSICAL (AUG 12)
The film adaptation of the hit musical by Jason Robert Brown follows 12-year-old Evan as he navigates his parents’ divorce and the dynamics at a new school — all while preparing for his upcoming Bar Mitzvah and 13th birthday.
DAY SHIFT (AUG 12)
