In Mark Dindal’s latest directorial pursuit, The Garfield Movie, he guarantees a comedic take on our beloved orange tabby cat. The renowned animated filmmaker was the brains behind some of the most well received animation flicks, such as Chicken Little, Aladdin, etc.
In this latest addition to Sony Pictures roster of films for this year, The Garfield Movie unveils the story of how Garfiield’s life takes a turn for the better (or for worse) as he finds out his actual father Vic, is still alive and well and leading an aimless life as a railway cat. Disgustingly comfortable in his food-filled home with Jon and Odie, Garfield’s world is flipped on its axis when situations lead him and Odie away from home and astray. Vic, with his experience and knowledge is the only path to end up back to Jon.
Chris Pratt voices our feline friend, whilst Samuel L Jackson voices Vic. A stellar cast that consists of Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Hannah Wadingham, Brett Goldstein and so forth. The movie will explore the trials and tribulations that Garfield and Odie have to face to find their way back home, and will be filled with humour throughout. Make sure to catch the movie at your nearest theatres on May 24th.
