‘The Girl In The Mirror’: Trailer, Release Date, Streaming Platform

Netflix has released the trailer of its upcoming Spanish supernatural thriller series ‘The Girl In The Mirror’ (Spanish: ‘Alma’) and this one keeps you hooked throughout. Created and directed by Sergio G. Sánchez (‘Marrowbone’, ‘The Orphanage’), ‘The Girl In The Mirror’ will premiere on Netflix on 19th August, 2022.

The trailer shows Alma riding a bus along with her classmates when it gets caught up in a dense fog. While they wait for the fog to clear up, the bus meets a terrible accident that changes Alma’s life forever.

The accident that killed most of her classmates leaves Alma with no memory of her past or the accident whatsoever. Now her life and her home doesn’t feel like hers and she starts to see and hear weird things. And it isn’t just her, one of her male friend who also survived the accident, seems to experience something similar.

It all seems to get connected with a ominous red thread that they discover and now are out on the dangerous adventure to recall their memories. During the process a group of young adults who survived the accident join and they find out that whatever happened was something more sinister than just a mere accident.

Official logline for ‘The Girl In The Mirror’ on Netflix reads, “After surviving a bus crash that kills most of her classmates, Alma awakes with no memories of the incident or her past. Her parents seem like strangers and her home is a place filled with secrets and mystery. She gets the growing suspicion that everyone around her is lying, trying to turn her into someone else. Trapped in a world that doesn’t feel her own, she must unravel the events that led to the accident before her true identity vanishes forever.”

Consisting of ten 50 minutes episodes the young adult supernatural drama ‘The Girl In The Mirror’ stars Mireia Oriol, Álex Villazán, Pol Monen, Claudia Roset, Javier Morgade, Nil Cardoner, María Caballero,Milena Smit and Elena Irureta among others.

‘The Girl In The Mirror’ is written by Sergio G. Sánchez (Marrowbone, The Orphanage ) Teresa de Rosendo (Sweet Home, U.C.O.) and Paul Pen (The Light of the Fireflies, The Warning). Belén Atienza (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Marrowbone), Sandra Hermida (Arde Madrid, Marrowbone) and Jesús de la Vega (Intruders, Hierro) serve as the producer for the series. ‘The Girl In The Mirror’ will start streaming on Netflix from 19th August.
