The trailer for Yash Raj Films’ upcoming family comedy drama ‘The Great Indian Family’ is here and it’s an out and out Vicky Kaushal show. Helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, ‘The Great Indian Family’ will release in theatres on 22nd September, 2023.
Set in the city of Balrampur, ‘The Great Indian Family’ trailer follows Bhajan Kumar aka Ved Vyas Tripathi (Vicky Kaushal) who belongs to a family of Hindu priests and sings devotional songs. His only regret is that his background and profession makes it difficult for him to flirt with girls. Although he does meet the woman he really likes and tries his best to impress her.
His life takes a drastic turn when one day he and his family discover that he is actually a Muslim. Disowned and dejected by his family and society, Bhajan is now facing an identity crisis. What will ensue as a result of all this confusion, will Bhajan’s family accept him or not follows the crux of ‘The Great Indian Family’.
Written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya (‘Thugs of Hindustan’), ‘The Great Indian Family’ stars Vicky Kaushal, Manushi Chhillar, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit, Bhuvan Arora, Ashutosh Ujjwal and Bharti Perwani among others.
‘The Great Indian Family’ is produced by Aditya Chopra via his Yash Raj Films banner and will release in theatres on 22nd September, 2023.
