Netflix has grabbed a goldmine of a title in the name of “The Great Indian Kapil Show”. The comedy show has entertained the audience for more than a decade now since it first used to air on Colors then Sony TV.
Now, Netflix India has grabbed the crew led by Kapil Sharma and the first episode is already streaming. The show was graced by Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor and their mother Neetu Kapoor. Interestingly, Sunil Grover returned to entertain us with Kapil Sharma after 7 long years. And, it was the most tempting factor behind the show.
How was the debut episode?
Well, you can do two things. You can either watch the old episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show or you can watch the new one. Either way, you will have the same entertainment. But, at least you will have a nostalgic value in the old episodes. The new show is nothing but everything old on a new show.
The same old jokes, the same old pattern and the same old feel. If people have to watch it on a new platform, they might prefer having a new kind of entertainment too. Sadly, that didn’t happen.
This way, people do not seem very interested in the show. This lack of excitement is visible in the reactions. Let’s see a few of them.
My advice: get better writers, better jokes, and better props. The Great Indian Kapil Show looks like a rehash of The Kapil Sharma Show. #TheGreatIndianKapilShow #TheKapilSharmaShow #Netflixhttps://t.co/ptozxCJsiJ

The fact that Kapil Sharma show decided to move to OTT is a horrible business decision given they’re running it in exact same format. Netflix has never been Kapil’s audience. It has always been the TV viewing folks. It’s in no way even going to benefit celebs from movie promo!
