The Great Indian Kapil Show is one of the buzziest shows on Netflix “right now.” Needless to say, Kapil Sharma is a comedy icon and he has established his name like no one else when it comes to that. His career is illustrious with long-running TV shows on Colors and Sony TV.
Now that those things have completely stopped, the rights to the show now rest with Netflix India. The first episode was streamed last Saturday and it featured Ranbir Kapoor as a guest along with Ridhima Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor.
The reviews? Very bad. The show failed to show us anything interesting and the jokes were the same old ones. Not that they are bad, but since we have become so passionate about new stuff all the time, it becomes sort of boring to see the sheer lack of creativity that went into the writing of the show.
But, what are the views saying? We have the data and the official one.
As you can see, it was the third most watched Non-English show on Netflix last week. However, it wasn’t possible without Maths. Since the duration of the show is very very less in comparison to other shows, it helped “The Great Indian Kapil Show” climb the list.
It is sort of good, but the views will eventually drop once people lose interest in subsequent episodes. Let’s see what happens.
