Apple TV+ has dropped the trailer of its upcoming film ‘The Greatest Beer Run Ever’ and its one heartwarming tale. Helmed by Peter Farrelly, ‘The Greatest Beer Run Ever’ premieres September 30 in theatres and streaming on Apple TV+.
‘The Greatest Beer Run’ trailer shows how Chickie Donohue (Zac Efron) decides to do something totally outrageous in order to show support for his neighborhood friends serving in Vietnam. And for this he travels to the frontline by himself to bring the soldiers a little piece of home — their favorite can of American beer.
However, what started as a well-meaning journey quickly turns into the adventure of a lifetime as Chickie confronts the reality of this controversial war and his reunions with his childhood buddies thrust him into the complexities and responsibilities of adulthood.
Based on an incredible true story, “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” is a heartfelt coming-of-age tale about friendship, loyalty and sacrifice. The film stars Zac Efron, Russell Crowe, Jake Picking and Will Ropp in major roles and is based on the New York Times best-seller book The Greatest Beer Run Ever: A Memoir of Friendship, Loyalty and War.
Produced by Skydance Media, the screenplay is adapted by Peter Farrelly, Pete Jones and Brian Currie. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger for Skydance with Andrew Muscato and Jake Myers have produced ’The Greatest Beer Run Ever’.
‘The Greatest Beer Run Ever’ will release in theatres and stream on Apple TV+ on 30th September, 2022.
