Remember last week when Binged published a report on how The Hunt For Veerappan is trending globally on Netflix? Well, it was a true report and we were excited as we waited for one more Netflix original that would be celebrated globally. But, there is disappointing news.
The results are out and the DOCUMENTARY series was the most watched Indian original series last week. Yes, it is unjustly assumed that Indians don’t have a taste in documentaries but a well-made documentary will always work. House Of Secrets: The Burari Deaths worked very well on the platform and so is The Hunt For Veerappan.
In the charts revealed by Netflix themselves, The Hunt For Veerappan was greatly watched in India but it was not the case on a global scale. The series yet again fails to leave a mark when it comes to International audiences.
Thankfully, The Hunt For Veerappan was the most watched series in India and it got the attention it deserved at least in its domestic market.
Veerappan, a notorious criminal, managed to evade law enforcement across multiple states for several decades. His case remains a compelling example of how a single individual can outmaneuver a massive police force, showcasing his ability to effortlessly elude capture.
