The much anticipated three Malayalam movies are releasing on the same day namely ‘Ajaynte Randaam Moshanam’, ‘Kondal’, and ‘Kishkindaa Kaandam’ dated on 12th of this month. This will be called the set of ‘Onam releases’ as per the culture of the Kerala audience.
‘Ajayante Randaam Moshanam’ or ‘A.R.M’ is expected to be a period action drama set to be a big-budget flick with a view of Pan-Indian reach meant to cross the regional boundaries. The teaser and trailer seem convincing and hope the technical labour is top-notch. The recently released lyric video, which is the first single named ‘Kiliye’ composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas is been appreciated by the audience. The rendition can be heard in multiple regional languages including Hindi. The movie is expected to have and splendid theatre ambiance along with actor Tovino Thomas’ performance which can bring the people for viewers category. The movie is directed by Jithin Laal and produced by Listin Stephen for Magic Frames Productions along with Zacharia Thomas for UGM Entertainment respectively.
‘Kondal’ (Eng. Rain cloud) will have to be a mass-action-drama thriller featuring Antony Vargheese Pepe as the main lead who will be driving the storyline and is expected to become a commercial success due to factors like the wild stunt sequences, editing, art direction and screen presence of performers. The movie is directed by Ajit Mampally and produced by Sophia Paul for Weekend Blockbusters.
‘Kishkinda Kaandam’ hopes to be a drama thriller with giving focus on effective storytelling and subtle references to the epic ‘Ramayana’ as well as its connection with subjects like anthropology and sociology. This is expected to be a mid-point between academic and theatrical appeal, with providing intrigue and suspense to the audience. However, the movie has a chance in its ability to fill the theatres by its making and performances of actors Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, and Vijayaraghavan which looks like an exciting cast.
Albeit ‘A.R.M’ is expected to be the ‘Onam Winner’, all three movies discussed below have the potential to grab the audience and seem to receive high acclaim.
