A few days back, Netflix released the trailer of The Killer on Netflix. The trailer is one of the most well-cut trailers in recent times and even if we ignore the visuals, the anxiety amongst the viewers says a lot.
David Fincher aims to create unease with his upcoming action thriller, “The Killer.” During a press conference at the Venice Film Festival, Fincher delved into the development of the film’s lead character, a composed assassin portrayed by Michael Fassbender. We all know that composed and calculative killers are the most dangerous. Thanks to David Fincher for that.
Fincher’s aspiration is that viewers of the film will feel a sense of unease about the person standing behind them in line at a place like Home Depot. Home Depot is the equivalent of a Hardware Store in the USA.
In “The Killer,” audiences will be granted access to the inner workings of Fassbender’s character, known simply as The Killer. He engages in activities such as yoga, and unconventional eating habits (McGriddles without the bun), and listens to The Smiths as he prepares for his lethal missions.
Well, this is indeed an interesting and unsettling concept that is sure to create a sort of anxiety among the viewers. Well, the film will indeed be great in that sense but let’s pray for the viewers.
The Killer will be released on Netflix on November 10.
