‘The Kissing Booth’ star Joey King has now expanded her relationship with Netflix. As part of the first look deal, King will produce and develop new films for Netflix through her All The King’s Horses (ATKH) production company.
Among King’s upcoming Netflix project via ATKH is the film adaptation of Scott Westerfeld’s International best-selling-dystopian fantasy novel ‘Uglies’. King will executive produce and star in the film directed by McG (‘The Babysitter’). ‘Uglies’ is currently under production.
Apart from ‘Uglies’, King will next be seen in Netflix’s hit romantic comedy drama ‘The Kissing Booth 3’ that she has also executive produced. The film is set to release on 11th August, 2021 only on Netflix.
Talking about her relationship with Netflix and the latest deal King said, “My relationship with Netflix started 5 years ago with me in a state of disbelief that I was getting to lead one of their first original YA films. That feeling of amazement and disbelief of working with them has only grown. I am honored to have a first look deal with a company that changed my life and lifts me up in my journey in growing as a producer. I’ve always had a lot of ideas and opinions, but now I have an outlet for those ideas and with a company that couldn’t be more collaborative. I can’t wait for us to make some movie magic happen.”
