After an unprecedented run in the theaters, now is the time for the OTT release of Pathaan. If you remember, even before the theatrical release, Binged informed its readers that Pathaan will be released on Prime Video around April 25.
Director Siddharth Anand recently stated that the digital release of Pathaan will also feature an extended version.
But there have been too many activities around the film recently that indicate an OTT release. Be it Anand’s statement or the social media post shared by Prime Video on their Twitter handle. With stills featuring Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham the post shows them firing a bullet.

While it is certain to be an explosive reception at Prime Video, it is high time the platform becomes careful and forgets the existence of the Prime Video Store for a while.
Yes, an army of fans is questioning Prime Video about the potential release of Pathaan while some are skeptical of it coming to the store on a rental basis.
The situation for the platform can be even more intense than it was in the case of Ponniyin Selvan 1. Thus, Prime Video must follow the policy which they did in the case of films like Kantara, Varisu, and more.
Anyway, the trolling will last only around a week, but the actual danger will be in the way people perceive Prime Video. In a way, the extreme buzz for Pathaan might be risky for the platform if they go for the usual rental release on Store.
