As the premiere of Disney Plus Hotstar’s The Mandalorian Season 2 approaches, the debut season of the hit show has hit Number 1 on Parrot Analytical’s weekly list of the Top Ten shows on digital, for the week ending October 24. The Mandalorian S1 is the most searched and watched show this week. The new season of the live-action Star Wars series debuts on Disney+ Hotstar on 30th October.
There’s a huge buzz around ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2, as Star Wars enthusiasts gear up for the return of Mando, Baby Yoda, Greef Karga and Cara Dune on their screens at the end of this week. According to Parrot Analytics’ report, the series had a 12.2% increase in demand expressions this week, ahead of Netflix’s Stranger Things, Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys, and Cobra Kai, the Martial Arts show on Netflix. The Mandalorian is Disney Plus’ tentpole show, eagerness for which contributed to a huge number of subscriptions for Disney Plus at the launch of the streaming service.
The buzz around The Mandalorian heated up with episode director Bryce Dallas Howard’s Instagram post, where she wrote about keeping Baby Yoda’s existence a secret last year, “It was the most difficult secret in the world and we were all bursting! I feel just as giddy, eager, and desperate for everyone to see what we’ve been cooking up this season of The Mandalorian; there’s so much to look forward to!”

The Mandalorian Season 2 will have eight episodes, just like Season 1. The episodes will be named Chapter 9, Chapter 10 and so on, picking up after the eight episodes of Season 1. ‘Chapter 8: Redemption’ was the title of the finale Episode 8 of The Mandalorian Season 1.
The Mandalorian Season 2 premieres on Disney Plus Hotstar on 30th October, at 12:30 pm IST.
