ZEE5‘s gritty crime drama ‘Abhay’ has been a success for the platform. Two seasons of the show have streamed until now, both receiving love from the audiences. For those who don’t know, Abhay is a police procedural show, with suitably dark undertones. Kunal Khemu stars as the titular Abhay Pratap Singh, an investigating officer with the mind of a criminal, who will go to any extent to solve a case. ZEE5 recently announced that Abhay 3 is gearing up to premiere on the platform.
Abhay is appreciated for its hard-hitting style of narration, as well as its grim visuals. But more than anything else, the series is made compelling by its interesting choice of villains. The villains in both seasons of Abhay have been menacing enough to make your blood freeze in your veins. Abhay Season 2 especially had truly terrifying villains in Raghav Juyal, Ram Kapoor and Chunky Pandey.
Now, we have confirmed information about the villains of Abhay Season 3. Stellar actors Rahul Dev, Vijay Raaz and Vidya Malvade will play the primary antagonists in the show. While the former two have essayed villainous characters countless times before, it will be Vidya Malvade’s first attempt at an outright unhinged character.
Asha Negi, Nidhi Singh, Rituraj Singh and Elnaaz Nourozi will return to reprise their roles from previous seasons of Abhay. The series is produced by B.P Singh, and directed by Ken Ghosh.
