Paava Kadhaigal is coming up on Netflix. This will be Netflix’s first original in Tamil. Paava Kadhaigal is a culmination of four short stories put together to make one movie. These types of content are mostly known as “Anthology”. Anthologies have in the recent few years come up like no other. It is one such genre that has received immense attention and is proving itself more amazingly than ever. Earlier producers, writers or directors weren’t keen enough to release anthologies in theatres as they thought people might get confused as to which is what. One such example of an anthology movie released in the theatres is “Bombay Talkies”. It bombed at the box office but the content received critical acclaim and praiseworthy performances were applauded.
With the coming up of the OTT world, anthologies came back again to the focus. The most famous of all these was the release of “Lust Stories” on Netflix. People at that point again started to relive the concept of anthologies and the response of it was overwhelming. After that various versions of anthologies were released.
