Eminent filmmaker James Gunn, who is fresh off the heels of the widespread acclaim of the superhero actioner ‘The Suicide Squad’, has teased the fans about a ‘distinct possibility’ of an actor or actress from the film joining the ensemble cast of the third volume of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘.
James Gunn had revealed this interesting info while replying to a fan regarding the same query. Although precisely which cast member from ‘The Suicide Squad’ might appear in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3′ was not disclosed.
In a separate Tweet, James Gunn had also revealed his massive pile of hand drawn storyboards for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3′. While making fans aware of his filmmaking process, Gunn further informed that the huge stack represents just twelve pages of the script. He described it as the most important part of his job at this point. The plot details of the film are being kept under the wraps like every other Marvel movie.
While ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ was announced way back in April 2017, the gifted filmmaker, who is writing and directing the project, had confirmed that the film’s script was completed in November 2020. The movie’s filming is expected to commence somewhere after or around September later this year .
Currently, James Gunn seems to be busy with the final post production touches for his much anticipated spin off series based on the titular character of ‘Peacemaker’, a role that was essayed by the wrestler turned actor John Cena in ‘The Suicide Squad’ movie.
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3′ is currently slated for a theatrical release on 5th May 2023. Besides that, the ‘Peacemaker’ series is scheduled to premiere by early next year.
