The much-awaited final eight episodes of popular zombie series ‘The Walking Dead’ are now streaming in India on Netflix. The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 consists of eight episodes, and all eight are finally available to stream on Netflix India, after a long wait of a year.
Season 11 of The Walking Dead is the final season ever of the show. The final season was divided into three parts of eight episodes each, which released on AMC in the US at three different times. Out of the three, The Walking Dead S11 Part 1 & 2, consisting of 16 episodes in all, were available to stream on Netflix India.
The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 premiered on AMC in the US on 2nd October 2022, in the episodic format. Since AMC shows premiere in India only one year after their US debut, The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 has now completed 1 year of release in the US, and hence has premiered on Netflix India last night.
For those who don’t know, Netflix has an exclusive deal with AMC for worldwide streaming rights for The Walking Dead. With the final part of the final season upon us, let’s see if Netflix renews the deal with AMC for the spinoff series of The Walking Dead too. The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon are the two The Walking Dead spinoffs that premiered in the US this year.
The events of The Walking Dead takes place after a zombie apocalypse, as survivors struggle to stay alive. As they search for safety and evade the undead, they are forced to grapple with rival groups and difficult choices. Season 11 sees them encounter with the Commonwealth, a large network of communities that has advanced equipment and over fifty thousand survivors living in their settlements. Additionally, the season also focuses on the group’s confrontation with the Reapers, a mysterious faction of hostile survivors.
The Walking Dead series is adapted from The comic book series of the same name. It is created for television by Frank Darabont, who’s earlier helmed the iconic ‘The Shawshank Redemption‘.
