A large-scale war is brewing in the upcoming The Wheel of Time Season 3, which, based on the latest trailer, may mark the end of either Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski) or Moiraine (Rosamund Pike).
Scheduled to premiere on March 13, Season 3 looks bigger and bolder than the previous two seasons. The latest clip teases a growing rift between the key factions of the Westlands.
Season 3 draws inspiration from The Shadow Rising, the fourth novel in Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time book series.
Moiraine finds herself at a crossroads in the upcoming season. In all of her visions of the future, either she or Rand survives. She realises that one of them must make the ultimate sacrifice. Meanwhile, Rand, the Dragon Reborn, faces his own struggle—will he follow the path of Light, or succumb to Darkness?
Beyond Rand and Moiraine, the third season will also bring significant changes for Rand’s lifelong friend, Perrin (Marcus Rutherford). He embarks on a transformative personal journey that will alter his fate forever.
The Wheel of Time Season 3 will introduce several new cities and regions in the Westlands, including the dangerous and intoxicating port city of Tanchico, the vast and barren deserts of the Aiel Waste, and the fog-shrouded, forbidden city of Rhuidean—where Moiraine and Rand will face life-altering revelations.
Other cast members returning for the new season include Daniel Henney (al’Lan Mandragoran), Zoe Robins (Nynaeve al’Meara), Madeleine Madden (Egwene al’Vere), Kate Fleetwood (Liandrin Guirale), Priyanka Bose (Alanna Mosvani), Fares Fares (Ishamael), and more.
