Bangladeshi web series and movies have a world of their own. If you have not witnessed any of the wonderful stories that Bangladesh has produced, you should start binge watching some of them. Here are two very selectively chosen web shows for the weekend that you will absolutely love.
Taqdeer (2020)- MX Player
Chanchal Choudhury is one of the best actors not only of Bangladesh but the whole subcontinent. His eyes do the acting and fans love to see him in challenging roles and stories. ‘Taqdeer‘ stars Chanchal Choudhury along with other talented actors like Sanjida Preeti, Shohel Mondal, Manoj Pramanik in important roles. It is a thriller directed by Syed Ahmed Shawki and tells the story of a man named Taqdeer who happens to be a freezer driver. Taqdeer finds a unclaimed dead body of a woman inside his truck. Taqdeer and his friend Montu get trapped inside a trap of dark incidents and they have to face bigger difficulties.
Boli (2021)- Hoichoi
Another masterpiece from Chanchal Choudhury is ‘Boli‘. Like Taqdeer, fans get to see the pair of Choudhury and Shohel Mondal here in Boli too. Actors like Sohana Saba, Ziaul Haque Palash, Safa Kabir are in important roles and give wonderful performances. It is directed by Shankha Dasgupta and tells the story of ‘Chedadiya’, an island infested with crime and corruption. A gangster Sohrab wanys to enjoy absolute power over the island and acts accordingly but one day Rustom, a stranger comes there and it looks like he is standing in his way. It is a revenge thriller with gruesome violence and is a wonderful retelling of the classic story of ‘Sohrab And Rustom’.
